We start by communicating the details to parents for you: the schedule, theme, pricing, etc.
Gone are the days of photographers requiring a teacher to help them on picture day! We bring our own people and portrait tracking software to:
All this means you don’t have to stress about balancing teacher/student ratios in order to assign a volunteer teacher to help us. Just sit back and relax!
We don’t use green screens. In fact, we hate green screen photography. Most adults don’t know how to interact with green screen, so why on earth would a photographer expect a toddler to?
You don’t want to be the middle man, and, frankly, we don’t want you there either.
When it comes to physical product delivery, we can either:
The distribution choice is completely up to you!
Here’s some reasons why we have 100+ five star reviews on Google:
Here’s the part where we could talk about how we much we love photography and why we’re qualified to do this…
but, we’re not going to say those things and here’s why:
We’re parents just like you. We have five kiddos ranging from infant up to eight years old. We think it’s important that you know that about us first because we get it. We understand that photography is an investment for the family. That’s why we’re so committed to interacting with children to get those real smiles.
Being parents is why we do this. Having littles has taught us a thing or two about making children smile. We understand how quickly the toddler days go by and how important it is to remember them when they’re “so cute!”
Yes, we’ve been doing this for a long time, but it was interacting with our own kiddos that taught us how to photograph preschool kids and evoke real smiles without having to say the fake, “CHEEEESE!”
If you’ve ever worked with toddlers, you know what we mean. It’s our daily family experience that makes our daycare and preschool photography sessions so successful now.
Do we love photography? Yes. Are we qualified to do this? Does having five kiddos count? The point is = we’re passionate about capturing real smiles and little personalities.

we promise to:
We combine immediate family members into one gallery so that parents aren’t forced to purchase from multiple galleries.
We’ll provide a choice of backgrounds and props that correspond with the current season. We won’t ever photograph kiddos on a green screen.
We’ll provide at least one extra assistant for photographers on site during picture day. Our assistants are trained on posing and wiping boogers.
We’ll take as little or much as the work off your plate as you want. From all in, hands-on to complete hands-off, we’re here for whatever you need.
Do you hate managing all the communication with parents about picture day?
Are you tired of collecting and keeping up with parent orders?
Do you want better, genuine smiles from your kids?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then let’s talk.
All we need is your current enrollment:
We don’t want to overwhelm you, so we’ll come as often as you and your parents want us to.
Typically, we provide:
Sibling portraits are all bundled into one gallery. That means if we take pictures of Jack and Jill, all their individual portraits as well as their portraits together will all be combined into one proofing gallery. Sibling galleries are priced slightly higher than individual galleries, but we offer significant savings rather than making parents purchase multiple individual galleries.
NO!!!
Adults don’t know how to interact with green screen, so how on earth would a child? We believe in fun, interactive sets that include props to engage children.
While we don’t offer commission on sales, we can offer a school fundraiser where a percentage is added to our base price list to raise money for the school. However, most of our schools opt to forgo commission and take advantage of our Service Hours instead.
Based on how many students you have enrolled, Shining Star Studios offers service hours that you can use however you like. One school gets staff headshots and IDs each year. Another school opts for us to photograph their Christmas program. Service hours are in lieu of commission and are negotiable, so contact us about how we can serve you.
